Friday Rambles Jan 14 2022

- Extra busy stuff at work mostly done as of yesterday, back to normal levels of busy.

- Wrote and drew out the comic in record time. Inspired by true events? Who knows. All I know is that I'm the workplace life comics guy now.

- Jill won the fanart poll. Which I feel kind of guilty about because it was the character I added myself to round out the poll and not suggested by anyone. So I'll also draw Power (and not because I want to draw her anyway >:)). Jill definitely this month, Power might be later. I'd force myself to avoid pixelart for the monthly fanarts per my new year resolutions, but for Jill it seems more appropriate...

- Also need to do my new sticker designs... gonna try to do that by the end of the month too

- Re: fast and bad portrait commissions: I'm thinking that instead of going through a whole thing with forms and invoices, I'm going to do my next fast and bad OC portrait event as normal, and allow people to donate XX ko-fis to be guaranteed a slot instead of having like a 1/800 chance or whatever. That way I still get to have my free art events while also giving people the chance to donate and get something out of it if they really want. Will probably be doing it sometime after finishing the Jill pic. Might also do this on my twitch stream because it's low pressure and easy. blah blah balh balh balh blah blah balh this is never going to happen is it

- We've been doing daily jogs/walks lately and I'm glad to be getting the exercise. Pikmin Bloom has helped us get into it more too lol

- I've never felt the need to use Photoshop once after canceling my plan, which is great. I moved to Affinity Photo for general stuff and Aseprite for converting to indexed color and scale/export. Shoulda done it ages ago.

- I've been mindlessly playing Bejeweled 3 on my pc lately. It has some more 3D effects than Peggle, so I'm really getting use out of my new beefy gaming rig.
