I hadn't drawn Skye in a while, so I figured I'd finish a WIP doodle I had from last week. Thought about doing the fancy lighting from the previous few drawings, but I decided to go for a normal scene instead. The magazine cover vibes makes it more comedic(?) I think, considering the situation.

I was challenged by this pic in several ways, which was good for my goal of doing something new or unfamiliar for each pic. Including: Material rendering of the hard glossy air fryer surface; Fire/Smoke; cleaner, more defined lines. The magazine-like title text was added at the end at the suggestion of a friend, and I think it rounded out the whole composition in a nice way. Graphics design.

I've been pretty happy with how my attempts at painting have been going, and also happy that my followers have been enjoying them too. Even more so, I'm very happy that many people care about my characters. I'm staying pretty motivated to keep going and git gud.

The picture has a followup! I do actually like to see Skye happy! And the timing happened to be good for this - but I thought up the comic idea pretty late at night and had to draw it in record speed to make the Valentine's Day window.
