Friday Rambles 4/29/2022

It's the weekly Friday Rambles! 

- Was off work today! Spent some time doing errands outside, ordering new stickers and doing research on Shopify (since I'm considering moving the shop there from Big Cartel), and playing some Elden Ring. Also did some doodling. All in all, pretty productive.

- The rest of the work week sucked. But that's just normal. I've been spending a lot of time writing drafts of my future farewell post lol

- This past week I've been reading a lot about other peoples' career breaks, and other inspirational junk online about supporting yourself on your passion and stuff. Not that that's the real goal with this break I'm planning, but I'm gonna try out a bunch of stuff and see if any real opportunities arise at least.

- I think if and when I can really support myself doing what I really love, though, Skye will also finally succeed with her Air Fryer channel (or find a career she is actually passionate about, depending on what happens for me in real life)

- I have a few game ideas I want to flesh out and make in the next few months. The first one is a super simple concept that should be easy to implement in a short amount of time, like game-jam style (but fun, at least in my head), so it'll be more of an exercise on how launching a game actually works in practice (through Itchio/Steam/etc). Unless it turns out to become more than that lol. Who knows?

- Pikmin Bloom is getting some cool updates and it's encouraging me to keep my steps up every day. I am still jogging three times a week, too. Gotta keep healthy.

- I still need to design new business cards, and make some more new designs for stickers. Probably won't be doing that much til I'm starting my break. I did say before I want to actually make more actual content first before making more merch.

- Medibang added a timelapse feature, which is cool and useful (especially for Patreon content). I have to manually turn it when I open the canvas which means I'll probably forget a lot. But I'll try to remember.

- I'm caught up with the Spy X Family anime. It's quite good and I'm enjoying it so far. Instead of drawing fanart, I played Elden Ring. I'll probably do it at some point, though.

- I'll also be drawing the Ranni Elden Ring fanart I still owe Patreon once I start a new Age of the Stars with her. Otherwise, can it be true fanart?
