Friday Rambles 7/22/2022

It's still Saturday here, which makes me only the usual amount of late for the Friday Ramble!

This was a week of packing orders. I posted about my shop's sale last weekend and then spent like 2 days straight just packing orders. And then I regretted not doing some kind of digital content sale instead. People love wallpaper packs and I haven't updated my wallpaper packs in years! So maybe I should get on that, and also make packs of Discord stickers or something idk. Once I have enough material, I could probably also do some kind of digital artbook, maybe. Anyway, it was a nice bit of income, -30% for the sale of course. But certainly more nice than not selling anything at all. Now I need to make more crying Kobeni stickers.

I love it when people notice things I'm going for in my art and comment on OC lore and stuff. If nothing else the tiger-chan arc and especially this last comic has been fun for that. some superfans made the connection between tigerchan and whiskey long before the comic, so I was happy about that too.

I got a new bookshelf for my artbooks, but they only filled up half my bookshelf, so now I need to buy more artbooks. time to shop...

I keep dreaming about work. Like an idealized version of work where everyone's cool and I'm missing out because I'm no longer employed at my workplace. Anyway not thinking about work has ruled, and I can feel my brain becoming healthier and healthier over time, but my subconscious keeps shoving work back into my attention! It might be like that college dream where I dream about having final exams for a bunch of courses I never attended classes for, where I have those dreams for the rest of my life despite having graduated years and years ago. Oh well :)

That sounds like a good Skye storyline now that I think about it...

Still exercising every day, except I skipped a day this week because Ring-Fit made me do too many squats and I was too sore to jog the next day. lol. I'm so out of shape still...

I'm thinking about doing a "fast and bad" OC portrait draws event for super followers on twitter to promote my "super follows" (which I've never done publicly yet). I think I'll open that up to my patreon supporters as well, because it's only fair. I'll post about it here too if I do it, sometime next week or the week after. First I wanted to do some actual art to post for a while so my entire feed isn't about plushie sales or sticker sales or marketing stuff.
