Feel like this was a little negative especially about old world, basically announcing Cathay was pretty hype I though and the EC release is pretty solid, better then Tsons and WE at least

mango_hub

And he'll yeah. More flames and drake cloaks

Thecrusader13

Oh right, he hasn't crossed the Rubicon yet right?

Thecrusader13

I mean, death guard are the only god specific army that doesn’t have just 4 units. Tsons other than characters have rubrics, terminators, tzaangors, and tzaangors on disc. WE has 8bound, Exalted 8bound, berserkers, and jackals. EC has basically just as many units as either on launch.

Johnathan Rhoades

Also maybe Salamander upgrade sprue 2.0?

Deiryan

Demons started out in 40K in CSM it wasn’t until 4th edition that they got their own codex

Drad

For anyone wondering about the other teasers shown at LVO they’ve both already been found. The 40k one is just a space wolf from a piece of art, however the Aos one is all but confirmed to be Hashut/Chaos Dwarfs. The green eyes greatly resemble the eyes of the horns of hashut warband and the symbols on the face of the creature match those of Hashut, plus with Hashut being mentioned in both the core rule book and S2D battletome it seems chaos dwarfs might be coming faster than most thought.

Codex Marines wave 2, Vulkan He'stan gets a new model

Xynth

I have to not believe that daemons as a whole is not going away in 40k. Relagated to just being in the cult marine books? Perhaps. But the daemons themselves just won't leave the game entirely. I simply don't think that's going to happen.

Hadrosaur Hero

Salamanders because they just added a demon primarch.... so Vulcan.

Thecrusader13

The old world brayheard shaman may not look that great in comparison to pretty much every other gw game, but compared to beastmen proper it looks stellar

Noel

Seems more like phasing Demons into the respective chaos legions and not giving demons their own codex this time.

LT Fish

Yeah...they were talking about redoing a bunch of characters in plastic - but that image doesn't really give a good impression of that.

LT Fish

TBF...you also get the Slaanesh demon units as an option...and probably some other Chaos space marine flex too.

LT Fish

It's probably not a sallies codex but they're using a picture of the sallies to represent the general chapters upgrade spru getting an update and updating most of the characters who had special rule updates.

Haskey227

As a World Eater player...another shaft reminder. In count EC will get 1 Primarch, 1 Lord on Foot, 1 Advanced Hero, 1 Epic Hero, Bladeguard, Battleline unit that can be built 2 ways, and an additional heavy weapon troop. That's 7 kits not counting the variants. COMPARE: WE got 1 battleline, 1 termie equivalent built 2 ways, 1 epic/generic hero that doesn't match the army, cultists and a primarch. That's 5 kits and a curious question why there are CSM units with Khorne in the name that are not part of WE.

RowanWinged

Rumour is that Vulkan He'Stan (not the primarch, the guy designated to go looking for him) is going to get a new model, so maybe that's what the Salamanders image is about

DisguisedCarnifex

I personally highly doubt the entire squatting of Daemons.

superkeaton

If they actually phase out demons as an army I think we will see one of the most massive instances of fandom backlash in recent memory. This would be the equivalent of them removing Tau or Grey knights and going “I know you guys built whole armies of these, but fuck em” I don’t even own demons, but a couple players at my LGS have massive demon armies, and I would gladly sit out of 40K until they reverted this

Big Mullins

Just completely gutted with 0 explanation as to what's going on. Feels absolutely terrible

Bailey Freeblade

Very good stream. I didn't care for all of it (don't play Necromunda), but everything looked great. Love that we actually got a decent idea of what's coming up too. At a great time too, 4pm. I disagree with your thoughts on the paintscheme, black and pink looks great. But it doesn't really matter how GW paints their stuff. Also, you guys wouldn't have seen since it's it was at the end of the videos and not in the articles, but they had some mystery teasers, that people quickly figured out were Space Wolves for 40K (not really a surprise there), and Cathay for Old World. AoS also got one that most are pretty sure is Chaos Dwarves (or at least a Hashut faction).

Blake Peace

Praying for the impossibility of World Eaters terminators

Henry White

I can see the signs that they could phase out Daemons, but here's why I'm hesitant to believe it. First and foremost, they're winning tournaments. A Daemons list won the Nottingham Super Major. Second is the lore. As they stated in the video, Chaos is vital to the lore and why the Horus Heresy even happens not to mention the current state of Eldari. Third is the simple fact that they're still giving Daemons stuff. There's a Combat Patrol box for it and they gave multiple new Detachments for Grotsmas. And honestly, even if they took them, the recent Deathwatch return has proven that if fans are vocal enough they will cave. And Daemons have a following in the fan base. Again, I can see that maybe this could happen, but it would be insanely foolish to do it and I think GW might know that for the reasons I gave.

Aurone86

The reason why they called it codex emperor's children is because marines sell better and always will, it's BULLSHIT but what can we do also fuck salamanders getten a detachment. GW give us the rest of the army still in index please, SM didn't need 3 more detachments for their already massive detachment list while here be the rest of the game on 2 till codex.

ChaoStarDust

Also Brad, if the Salamanders are being noticed, maybe the Raven Guard will have finally finished their stealth assignment with the White Scars.

Edward Franklin Woods

There was zero chance at AdMech getting HH robots. :)

Darius Gorganzadeh

Now Eric can have his music marines. I don't know why he's been complaining though, he's had access to the Orkestra for years now.

Edward Franklin Woods

Bummed to see the steps GW is taking to phase out demons.

Zach Brazgel

My first thought when I saw EC were revealed was “Eric is gonna love this!” My second reaction was “What the fuck happened to my knights codex?!”

Lucien Wilcox

Got it. Maybe wishful thinking on my part

AV

The axe is the exact axe of the 9th edition black templars codex

Andrew Noble

They actually had a bunch of reveals in article form than they had in the preview show. The Nurgle guy, the HH robot, the Beastmen shaman, and the Vampire on Nightmare Steed were not shown in the livestream. So they didn't lie that the preview didn't have HH, but also did the HH reveal too. Weird. And yeah, they did mention that the EC book will have the Slaanesh Daemons will be included as options, so the WE, DG and TSons being next presumably heralds the death of the Daemons codex, as well as doubling the number of units available to 3 of the armies. I can't believe they remove all Daemons from the game entirely though.

mikewicked

I thought this is the best reveal show in a long time. The Soulblight Gravelords reveal was great. The actual show itself was brisk and got to the point. I didn’t like the emperor’s children as much as I wanted to but that’s ok. You’re making big assumptions when mentioning Salamanders. Also think the ax is Votann, not Black Templars. The ad mech and death guard reveals were not a part of the reveal show. Also, high elves have been playable in old world. They had rules. This is just the model relaunch. Most people who play old world still have their armies from when fantasy died (see Tom from Warhammer Weekly who mentions his 6000 points of high elves once a month)

AV

Excited to see Eric get some Noise Marines on the table

TN0

Poorhammer with lunch, what a treat
