Where has Hemdom been?!

So it's been a little over two weeks since I've updated the main hemdomblog website. 

That's a lot different then what you guys are used to. I usually keep a consistent schedule, with least 4 posts a week. Considering the timing of when I stopped, you probably assumed that I was taking a break. Far from it!

The truth is, I've been trying to get an uploading feature to work on the blog. I've been trying for a year, but my methods have failed. So I'm taking a different approach now, and I'm confident that you guys will really enjoy it!

Attempt #1 (November 2018 - April 2019)

I've tried using google forms for users to submit content back when the website was hosted on blog spot, but it was really bad. The content wasn't uploaded directly to the hemdomblog, I had to manually transfer it. It was barely used, and I had to check everyday, which was tedious. 

 Attempt #2 (April 2019 - November 2019)

When I switched over to Wordpress to host the website, it allowed me to create custom plugins. With this new feature, I came up with an "uploading" page. That page allowed users to upload their own blogposts directly to the website. It sounded great, but I had to teach each individual how to use it. Like the method before, it wasn't used and it turns out that it doesn't even work. 

After I realized that I couldn't get the uploading feature to work, I decided to change my approach. What if instead of creating an uploading feature, I created a forum.  Forums allow users to easily upload their own content and get credit for it. Forums also encourage discussion on posts, which give it a more of a community feeling. Instead of just  relying on me to post femdom hentai, you can rely on the femdom hentai community as a whole!

So that's exactly what I did. I'd like to introduce you to...

Why is it not finished?

Well there are a couple of reasons.

#1 - Mirror Links

If you take a look at the forum, you’ll notice that I’m transferring all the hemdomblog content over there. This is what is taking the longest amount of time. What makes it even longer is that I made a rule that every femdom hentai forum post must have a mirror link. Although this is taking quite a bit of time, it’s going to pay off in the long run because the chances of there being a dead link is a lot smaller.  All the hentai posts you see on the forum now have mirror links on the main website as well. Eventually, I plan on adding this 

#2 - SEO

Search engine optimization, (also known as SEO) is making it easier to find the hemdomblog’s links in search engines. When adding mirror links to the main website, I thought it would be a good idea to improve the SEO as well. All the hentai posts you see on the forum have been SEO optimized on the main website. This is also slowing me down but it’s going to pay off in the long run too. 

It's quite a slow process. I have over 400+ blogposts. If I were to transfer 20 posts per day it would take me 22 days. If it was just copy and paste it would be easy but I also have to do mirror links + SEO + Forum formatting. Which slows me down. The forum itself may be available to the public before then, just the hemdomblog posts may not be completely transferred over. 

#3 - Other small things

• Adding forum aesthetics 
• Polishing forum rules
• Hearing feedback from users before going public

So yea! That's what I've been up to. Hopefully it's a good enough reason for the shortages of blogposts. With this new forum, I'm sure that the amount of content being produced will increase a lot more than it was before!
