"Pays her back"... after some though I realized if the cookies were a treat from the mom to the son, the "using her" was a treat from the son to the mom and that just seemed like a fun idea. I kept the son's reaction pretty low-key, so maybe this isn't the first time his mom has asked him to scratch more than just her back . And after this time i'm sure she's going to be looking for any excuse to help out her boy so he can keep going... and going...
