Book one is done, what's next?
Added 2026-02-05 21:03:48 +0000 UTCTo address the slime in the room and alleviate any worries off the bat, there's still a chapter coming tomorrow and it will be the (or one of the) prologue(s) for volume 2. Yes, this does mean that it is going to be a non-Kori chapter again.
Okay, with that out of the way, I wanted to give you an update on what I'll be focusing on over the next while. As always my primary focus will be to provide all of you wonderful people two chapters every week. Alongside that, I will be aiming to edit 3 chapters a day to bring them all up to the same standards as the newest of releases. Some of it will see major revisions, some of it just minor edits, but overall the story you have enjoyed so far won't be changing so much as getting its scales buffed and polished before I begin shopping that manuscript around to publishers.
It may take a bit to get it accepted, it came out at a whopping 250,000 words (aprox. of course, I didn't manage to somehow land it exactly) and that is a big ask from a first time author. I will keep you all in the loop.
I will also need a small group of beta readers in all likelihood and will let you know when the time comes. Beta reading is more than simply enjoying the read, it requires attention to detail and the most nitpickiest of us to help me ensure that the final product is the best I have to offer.
