November Suggestions

Well, October was a pretty busy month for me in a number of ways. I published Treasure of the Serpent Queen, wrote a short story, learned a new way to make microfics, and made progress on a number of other fronts that should see fruition this month.
Among those things is the next Villain for Hire book. I'm hopeful I can get it done in November, but an early December release might be more realistic.
What is coming within a week is the next installment of Fey Market Blues. And we'll also be looking for this month's short story idea! Post your suggestions below, and we'll see them in a poll for everyone to vote on.
I have a few other things I'm keeping private, but progress has been excellent on them, and I'm looking forward to releasing them as soon as I can. But until then, thank you once more for all your support, and let's hear those story ideas!

2023-11-05 22:24:57 +0000 UTCHm...I've wracked my brain for something appropriate to Thanksgiving, or at least a pun, but it's a tricky holiday to do that for. It's a stretch but I have a concept vaguely for the season, but I'll also resubmit my October pitch. Feel free to only include one if space is as a premium on the poll, or if one strikes your fancy/inspiration more strongly. -A splinter tribe of marauding Orc amazons has a curious custom with an allied kingdom to cement their ties and grow their numbers. Every year a "tribute" of strapping young men are to take part in a ritual where they and the amazons mock-hunt each other, and the loser is typically staked out and (sexually) feasted on by his conquering huntress (And, very rarely, the reverse. Oh, the orcish *the scandal!*). The warchief has her eyes on a particular knight this year, one that fought alongside throughout his career and was instrumental in allowing this exotic alliance to form. She may not be able to woo him through "civilized" ceremony and pageantry, but she intends to use this hunt to show him just how *thankful* she is for it all, and show the rest of her tribe the magnificent prize she managed to poach~ -The witch queen and the champion of the local kingdom have developed quite the heated and passionate rivalry. He's thwarted several of her schemes, she's *almost* succeeded at others, but this time things will be different! The eldritch stars have aligned and this season's Witching Hour shall be the grandest in years! With her powers augmented, she will finally bring her beloved nemesis to his knees, place him under her spell, bind his mind to her will and body to her bed, and....and...something about magic, conquest, and world domination. Eventually. Maybe...
