Added 2024-12-01 19:00:00 +0000 UTCNovember turned out to be a big month with around 25 package updates as well as the necessary 26 binaries being packaged to support aarch64 linux-musl. We had already put together the binaries for x86_64 linux-musl for testing but hadn't got around to announcing those yet. You have temuenjoyer78 to thank for reminding us of one of the many things on the infinitely expanding todo list. Our Wii and Gamecube updates this month were mostly sdl2 related libraries with updats to sdl2, sdl2_image and sdl2_mixer while Alberto continues his amazing work on opengx bringing more opengl functionality to Wii and Gamecube homebrew.
Switch updates saw libnx 4.8.0 with additional HID & Bluetooth work by ndeadly and updates for firmware 19.0.0 by Sciresm. ffmpeg saw a new libnx tls backend contributed by dragonflylee and Averne updated libmpv to latest upstream as well as contributing an Audren backend.
Our DSi support finally reached a good point to make a release where we added a new RTOS lib we've called Calico which, along with a great deal of refactoring allowed us to bring threading support to libnds which ultimately allowed cleaner support for the DSi hardware. We've refactored dswifi and added a new driver for the DSi Atheros wifi chipset which brings us WPA2 support and much improved network support for ftpd. libfat has been completely revamped with a disk volume manager and now uses the ever popular fatfs library retiring the old libfat which has served us well over many years.
