Monthly Message for August!

Hello my glorious 50 Cent Army! It’s time for another monthly message! It was a wild month for China Uncensored. First and foremost in my mind is the amazing time we had with our summer intern Noah. We were able to bring him to New York all the way from jolly old England thanks to your support. He contributed in a big way to the show. He did loads of research for a bunch of really exciting episode ideas we’ve been wanting to do, but just didn’t have the manpower to get to. We’ll be releasing those over the coming weeks. He even made a special guest appearance in the episode “Bringing a Chinese Dictator to Justice.” If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s his thank you to all of you. 

Speaking of that episode, it was probably one of our highest production episodes. The whole crew drove down to Washington DC at 5am and didn’t get home till 2am. But it was worth it for an episode that had a Schoolhouse Rock style animation, a West Wing parody, and a House of Cards parody. Plus, we got to interview some amazing people and Shelley was in top form. 

And we had a big breakthrough for the show! We’ve started producing full length half hour episodes. That’s going to help open up a lot of doors for the show. 

In the coming month, we’re going to start looking for TV distribution for our new half hour episodes. And pretty soon, we’ll be filming in front of a live audience, so keep your eyes peeled for that announcement! 

Plus, we’re going to take a look at China’s influence on Latin America. In particular Venezuela. That’s one of those episodes we all owe a thanks to Noah for helping research.
