It was just a drop. That was what Uzui kept telling herself as she ran past one of the infected. This chant did little to dissuade her fears as she began to feel tremors going through her body. Grasping at a lingering hope that she could somehow escape her fate, she began to run in the direction of the nearest hospital. But it was already too late.
Uzui went toppling to the ground as her legs began to swell into spheres. Forced to sit on the sidewalk, she watched as her feet uselessly wriggled around as her thighs were merged into the fleshy, veiny globes. Though she no longer possessed fingers to confirm it herself, she could certainly feel her head become more rounded and bulbous in the process of shedding off the remnants of her hair. Her attempts to scream for help were foiled as her mouth and other facial features absorbed into her distorted figure. Left with only a pair of eyes, all she could do was cry to add tears to the downpour of fluids leaking from the tip of her body.
