Today was supposed to be the day that Monika finally got started on her journey to losing weight. Due to an error in the code, her body had become inundated with a layer of chub that left her over 200 pounds. As eager as she was to get rid of her pudgy belly, bubble butt, and heaving bosom, she wanted to do it the old fashioned way to prove to her beloved MC that she was willing to put in the work.
A single mile into her run around the school, Monika was already a sweaty mess. Telling herself that she needed to start small, she used the remainder of her energy to trudge her way back to the Literature Club’s room. Along the way, she couldn’t ignore the way people gawked at her gut sticking out from beneath her lime green top and the sweat clinging to her coral hair. Ignoring the whispered gossip, she whipped around her ponytail and set her sights on the club room; certain that her fellow members would be there to give her the support that she needed.
Upon sliding open the door, Monika froze as she was greeted by a plate of cupcakes decorated to look like cats. Natsuki barely had time to explain that the sweets were a reward for the president’s work before Monika lunged forward to claim them for herself. Stuffing the pastries into her mouth with reckless abandon, Monika took her seat at the desk in the front of her class. Rubbing her belly bulge as she savored the sweet taste, she promised herself that TOMORROW would be the day she began her weight loss journey in earnest.
