Daz ref sheet WIPs, How Daz started.

As they say: New year; new ref sheet!

A much needed update for Daz, who came a long way from his very first design 11 years ago!

Wanna see what that looked like? Here you go!

Back then he was called 'Untitled' the Dog because I was a pretentious asshole, but soon after, he became known as Randall, due to my love for the character of the same name from Kevin Smith's films Clerks and Clerks 2. Randall here had a similar personality to the one in the films, he was a trouble maker, manipulator, who took part in drug fuelled orgies and other sinful acts. He was my punching bag for throwing adult and lewd material at, my other characters were too pure, too cute and clean, Randall was the opposite, and embraced those things, he wasn't ashamed of it, and I learned to do the same.

He was made as a way for young adult me to break away from the cutesy Disney like cartoons style I had started developing overtime after mixing with Disney artists and fans, and wanted to explore cartoons as a more adult orientated medium, where I could document my own journey into adulthood.

Of course, eventually that meant I projected a lot of my own experiences onto Randall and before long I had a the realisation:
"Hey...maybe I should just make him my sona"  but what to call him?? I decided to go with the name I carried through school and college at the time - Daz, which was basically short for Darren, but it stuck.
Daz's design went through multiple changes, some subtle...some not so much, but now I feel Daz is a true representation of not just myself, but a representation of my journey from a 18/19 year old man to the 30 year old posting this. Daz has been through a lot of the hardships and tribulations as me and as I grow and change IRL, so will Daz. I wonder what he'll look like when I'm 40...
