🎉Happy Birthday to Daztoons Patreon!!🎉

This time last year, I was stuck in a job I hated, with people I had grown to resent, and a company that I was learning more and more did not care about me or my well being. I was constantly making decisions on whether to relax after work, or draw and do commissions...it was a balancing act that lost me my weekends and lots of my free time.

This time last year, I made a big decision...one that would define how I lived from then on: I wanted to do my art full time, 5 days a week, get my weekends back for myself, have time to destress and most importantly, create like I never have before. 

This time last year, I took the plunge to work towards that, and one of the first things I did was make a Patreon. I was nervous, scared. The pressure I would feel to constantly provide to subscribers...

what if it wasn't enough? 

What if people demanded more from me than I could handle? 

Could this whole experiment into financial self-sustainability fall apart before it even really started?

1 year later and here we are. It feels like no time at all has passed, my Patreon is now better than ever, and I have all of you to thank for that. Once I started, I quickly found a good pace to produce work, I became more professional (but not TOO professional, I am still a dog after all), and it even made me explore different areas of art, that I feel has helped me improve tenfold! 

So today is not a day where I sigh and think of a Patreon that could have been, I have it and more, and it's because of you all that I am still here. Thanks to your continued support, I am now working fulltime as a freelance cartoonist, and I hope you've all enjoyed the  journey so far...I definitely am not slowing down anytime soon! 

Don't think I'm getting TOO comfortable, though, I have lots of plans for this Patreon still. I promised you all physical merch and stuff and I can confidently say it's coming. 

• Daztoons stickers are being printed with thanks to Wild Print LLC, they will be ready to order before Christmas!

• Daz plush is also coming, I am currently drawing up the sketches for it, and am excited to show you the concepts later this month and yes, I will make sure it has a nose you can squeak<3

• BitFlip is still in the works, I am creating the first issue along with a pilot issue to help folks really get to know what this little cheeky monkey is all about! I wish I could give you a hard deadline, but making a full issue comic on my own is tough and I wouldn't want you folks thinking I'm not being honest or keeping to my word. I will be sure to share all updates with you though <3

• Next year I hope to begin compiling all my Life Story of Daz comics together to be sold in both physical and digital formats, the comic will include all your favourite Big Blue Dog comics along with ones you've never seen before and lots of exclusive art! 

So, thank you, once again. I realise now that I had no reason to be scared, you have supported me through so much, and been so patient with me. I don't say it lightly, but I really do have the best fans and friends a big blue dog could ask for. You helped make this all possible, happy 1 year anniversary to this Patreon, and here is to another wonderful year. I am excited to see where it will take us =3
