Hello my 50-Cent Army! Summer is wrapping up and I know you’re all settling in with your favorite pumpkin spiced beverages, but that doesn’t mean China Uncensored is still hot. We’re gearing up for the National People’s Congress, a.k.a. Xi Jinping’s Ultimate Showdown. We finally have a date for the Congress, October 18! Will I be making a special guest appearance? No. No that would be ridiculous; why would you even ask?

Have you joined in our social media campaign #WheresGao? We’re trying to get international exposure for Chinese human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng. He’s gone missing yet again, and is probably being tortured yet again, by the Chinese Communist Party. Share the poster and the hashtag with your friends and family on social media. In other news, YouTube is giving us a harder and harder time. We’ll have more on that later this month, but let’s say it involves instant demonetization and making it harder and harder for people to watch our videos. We’re going to need call in the 50-Cent Army to promote the show!

And finally, we’re starting work on a series of in depth videos about the impact of China’s One Belt, One Road Initiative. First up, I’ll be sending Shelley to Greece. Think of it as revenge for her sending me to the South China Sea.
