2018-05-08 04:30:57 +0000 UTCOne more point: The notion of who gets to take stuff was treated by a well-known Yugoslav writer, Milovan Djilas, whose classic, "The New Class" talks about how new elites formed within the Communist system who, if I remember correctly, had control of property, if not formal ownership, and who were as corrupt as the "bourgeois" elites. The book was published in the late 1950s, so this problem apparently took little time to manifest itself in the various societies that had had Communist regimes since the Second World War.
