US Military Crushed by China in Recent War Games

In this week’s headlines, the US held hypothetical war games with China… And it did not go well.
This happens in nearly every major war game every year. Basically, you're pitting retired one star Generals and full birds who've been planning the war game for months against LTCs and CPTs who have far less experience, well known plans and doctrines to follow, and haven't had, as their main jobs, the task of planning the war game. The opposing force side of the war game also uses asymmetric tactics against strategies and tactics designed exclusively for state-on-state conventional conflict. Finally, the war game operators use political/financial considerations to determine who "wins" a war game. I've seen the reset button hit on war games where friendly forces suffer a catastrophic loss during real-world "force evaluation" periods.

Just liked the old-time Marine General beat the Navy into submission with Vietnam-era tactics :p Wargames are only part of the tale; doubt it would turn out exactly like this. My guess is that DoD needs to sell some weapons to make cash for new research
