Hello my China Uncensored 50-Cent Army! Your support has been amazing over the past few months. YouTube has hit us hard with every single Hong Kong episode we’ve done. And then there was the whole verification fiasco that fortunately was resolved.

This has been an exciting month. Shelley just got back from her trip to Italy, where she did an amazing investigation into Chinese sweatshops manufacturing “Made in Italy” items. Stay tuned for that episode! It’s wild.

Normally I send these messages toward the beginning of the month, but I held this one back a bit for one very special reason—we’re back in Hong Kong! That’s right, Matt, Shelley and I have decided to return to Hong Kong to cover the October 1st National Day. This year is the 70th anniversary of the Communist takeover of China. Truly a day to celebrate. And what better way than in Hong Kong?!

Because we are a bit concerned they might not let us into Hong Kong, we had kept this trip on the down low. At least until we got in, which was this morning at 6am. And you, my loyal 50-Cent Army are the first to know! You’re receiving this message before we’ve put up any official notification. Just a small way to say thank you for all you do. We wouldn’t be able to keep making the show, let alone travel back to Hong Kong, if it weren’t for your support. The protests are in a very different place than last time we were here. Wish us luck!
