Patreon Prompt 156

Prompt: Zelda turned into an inflatable raft.

   A journey of exploring the land of Hyrule hit a major roadblock in the form of a raging river with no clear way to cross. Link looked over at the surrounding woods with some ideas, but all of them involved a long day of chopping wood to make into a raft. Zelda was less willing to delay her journey and more than eager to eschew safety in favor of testing out a collection of new runes she had obtained from a strange shrine. Before Link could even have a chance to voice his concerns, the princess pressed the buttons on her Sheikah Slate that claimed to give them a method of traversing the water.

   The Slate fell out of Zelda’s hands as her arms were forced against her side. A similar fusion of her legs coming together sent her flopping to the ground with a loud squeak. The unusual noise was cause by the rubbery material taking over her body as it continued to distort. Her lower half widened out into a square as her upper torso narrowed into a point. With her face stretched across the front of the craft, she couldn’t really get a good look at what she had become. However, Link only had to glance at the seat placed upon the cavity on the princess’s back to realize she had been changed into a rubber raft.

   Upon informing the princess of her sorry state, she took a moment to compose herself. Getting over the initial shock, she ordered Link to push her into the water. After a few moments of hesitation and words of assurance from Zelda, he finally relented. Setting her out on the river, they were both surprised with how well of a vessel she made. Trying to ignore the sheer bizarreness of the situation, Link grabbed Zelda’s slate and a nearby branch to use as a makeshift oar before setting off across the water. Hopefully by the time he got to the other side he would figure out a way to revert the princess’s condition.
