New Artstyle!

I developed a new artstyle out of randomness and now committing to re-draw the whole line up again, this time it will be finalized.

Wadaya guys think, which one do you like? Comment down below.

Old is IMO better. Dark colors feel more like they are in space and the landing pads are really well highlighted. Got a cool Cyber Noir feeling.

new art style, it adds some negative space in the hull forms to help give the eyes a rest.

I like both, but the new dark one feels lacking in something the old one had.

I dunno, the new style looks fantastic but almost a bit plain though that could stem from the lack of weaponry on the decks, everything's better with a whole pile of ordinance on it. Redrawing the entire roster seems like a mountain of work, but hey, more cool ship art is fine by me.

I am a sucker for the old style simply because i am more fan of ship with more line , shape and contraste on their hull then à more cleaner and more refine hull , both design and art choice are amazing and honestly i am curious to see were it could lead , but the old design have a special place in my heart

It's like seeing your kid grew up for some weird reasons...

Oh yeah, I can tell she's gonna look even more sexier eventually.

Glad you like it ´ ꒳ `

The new style looks cleaner and better-defined. In both cases it allows the internal geometry to come through more. I'd love to see Lillaru get this treatment, and maybe Novayu and Nakiha too.

Your reasoning is so convincing that I'm gonna find a way to integrate that into Rillaru(SP)'s lore. Thanks!

Personally, I am not sure about this one, but it somehow fits the lore. The old line-up with all the functionally busyness always gives me a strong "Prototype Vibe", like those machines were pushed into production way too early in their design stage, to counter the looming thread that is the unknown and hostile sector. They may be troublesome to operate and overly complected, but they work, that’s the charm of war-time engineering. The new style is much more settled. The Queen and her Federation have survived the first wave of aggression, which means much needed breathing time for the Navy to regroup their fleets. The designs were finalized, with simpler lines and wider hull, gun placements more logical, not desperately cramped into every corner. All the crested and edges once fighting over each other were brought into harmony for the ease of mass-production. You can tell the quality-of-life has improved just by looking at them; fewer pipeline leaks and lost arms due to poorly fitted hermetic doors. The berthing room maybe enlarged, because less crew are needed. Designs mature along with their strength. The time has come, it seems. The Auroran are preparing for their great expansion.

I like both, but am leaning more towards the cleaner option.

New one definetly looks more well armoured and cleaner, I don't know if the old one is more detailed, but it's definetly more busy looking, like it's made out of guns. Honestly depends what you're going for.

I feel like the new artstyle give a "smoother" look on the hull on the ships
