RM 'Domodachi (feat. Little Simz)' Official MV REACTION

Stumbling upon this music video was the greatest surprise EVER!!

Domodachi was already a song that i grew so fond of once I did my RPWP album reaction but after seing the MV, I love it even more! RM is so talented in the way he thinks and reflects his experiences in his music, making it a whole JOURNEY to try and unveil the story he's telling to us.

I'm so thankful for ARMY in the comment sections of these videos and you guys for alway helping me be able to crack the code of BTS' hidden messages. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’œ

Domodachi is so good. I think it deserves more appreciation! The MV is really interesting. There are so many ways of interpret it and I think Namjoon and the director really managed to portray that unsettling vibe so well

Purple Chamchi

One of my fav songs from this album (though this album and Indigo have no skips for me & I love all of his songs) heโ€™s artistry is so amazing and I love how he really put his heart and soul into this album!

I would favor what Angel said -- about Namjoon being thrown into the world of adults too soon, the chaos that would cause (for a young person that would be very scary and jarring), and maybe him missing the "child" he used to be. Namjoon has said himself that he had an extremely happy childhood and lovely family life. Perhaps he COULD be making a political statement, but I think the former is more likely since we now know from his interviews and explanations about the album what his mental and spiritual state was when he was writing it. TBH, Namjoon doesn't know how to do a bad collab. Every single collab he's done has been top notch. You should look into all of those (there are quite a few, and on his Indigo album almost every song is a collab)

i saw some random theories online i dont remember where but someone said that couldve been a representation of a bad area in korea, it could be a reflection of history how it was when he was growing up and another wild one was that it could be north korea because at one point it wasnt hard to cross between the borders and since the kid hopped the fence to get out of somewhere the people who had this theory said maybe the setting is north korea and the boy was a north korean boy helping him escape. again idk if that was realistically possible or hold any truth at all. but its interesting. south korea is a very new country in modernization and democracy so even 10 or 20 or 30 years ago it looked very different. and from what ive seen rotten mango speak about who knows what was or wasnt possible in the past when bts members were growing up etc.

I would say not just for this song but the whole album

Namjoon himself was going for the eerie unsettling vibe for this song as well as MV and I guess he 100% achieved that ๐Ÿ˜

Yeah I saw the theories and interpations too and it gave me the chills. Namjoon really can change a persons entire world with his messages in his music, because I got the chills and shivers with this mv and honestly all his albums and mixtapes, there's not one project of his that hasn't torn me (honestly though to this day his song 'moonchild' has a chokehold on me), but yeah little simz also sounded absolutely amazing and their collaboration -like all of namjoons collabs- really outdid themselves, wow, to see him go back makes me subscribe to the theory that he went back for his friend but there could be more like a part of him always be tied to that chaos (growing up, being thrown into the world of adults before you're ready)
