i have heard for some time now that Jimin was cracked at martial arts but I never knew it was to this extent! The man has YEARS under his belt and oh my gosh speaking of belts he has a black belt in taetwondo?!?!
If there's one thing the BTS boys always do to me is constantly surprise and shock me with their underlying skills and talents! These men OOZE main character energy!
this video was super awesome for learning about different styles of martial arts and showcasing them in every day things Jimin does. we love an athletic king!

2025-02-24 10:34:56 +0000 UTCI've probably commented this before but fyi JK saying he has a red-black belt is pretty much the same thing as a black belt. the red-black (aka "poom") belt means that you have completed your requirements for black belt, but you're younger than the minimum age of 15. As we all know, JK became a trainee with bighit at 13, so he was obviously a bit busy with other things from that point on. 😂 but he has all the skills! he doesn't do the aerial stuff like Jimin (who clearly has some acro training) but he shows off his kicks sometimes and they are super clean. He also sometimes does that "kick up" move as well. and Jin is also a taekwondo black belt! he doesn't talk about it much, I think he just mentioned it once, lol. I think it's something a LOT of korean boys do as an extracurricular. we just think of Jimin as the group's martial artist more because he studied a number of other disciplines as well.

2025-02-24 08:52:27 +0000 UTCyes that is hobi that Jimin flips over in we are bulletproof pt2. the story there is so sweet. of course hobi was scared to do it, but Jimin said to him, "hyung, just close your eyes and trust me." sure enough, if you watch a performance (or fancam) where the camera shows the right angle you can see hobi with his eyes closed 🥰 the amount of trust is crazy.

He was also valedictorian at Korea Arts High School. Jimin is assigned to the Field Artillery Fire Direction Center (FDC) in the South Korean military. That’s the reason Jimin’s gets the hardest parts in the choreography because of how insane he is. There’s one choreography Jimin does one handed flip back into his position. All the things he knows and trained for in his short life is incredible. He’s the most disciplined person I’ve ever seen. And he still pushes and trains his mind and body. He’s killing it so hard in the military and people were hating on him or calling him offensive things. People really sleep on Jimin’s abilities. Like Jimin is really built different. Like the man was in all the extracurricular it's actually insane. You learn he's been doing several martial arts for almost a decade but then he's also done all these other stuff like learning dance, being student council president, playing sports, he is an inspiration. Also yes the iconic fan dance, It's from 2018 MMA!
