2024-12-13 23:39:05 +0000 UTCHe took Fiend patron there for the temp HP and the Dark One's Own Luck to help with saving throws, not for damage. You can check the build out in his Warlock damage video from a bit ago, I think he took a level of Paladin as well on it.

I'm looking at the fiend subclass and I don't see much until level 14 when you get a big bump with hurl through hell. In a campaign that ends at level 12, would it matter which patron you take? Is fiend still the optimal damage choice? Celestial maybe?

2024-12-02 12:02:06 +0000 UTCThis new vision of a baseline warlock will take some to wrap the head around. EB has been the unique attack cantrip of the warlock. Nothing unique about using a Great Sword. But new 2024 Rules lead to the need to understand what new damage expectation is reliable. So the base qualities of the warlock pact of the blade wielding a two handed Great Sword becomes the base. My first question is how will arcane focus and casting mix into this? Need a free hand?🖐️

2024-12-01 16:57:03 +0000 UTCA level 17 Goliath could do a d10 fire damage 6 times per long rest That would be about a 2 DPR increase over an adventuring day based off Chris and his assumption of 16 rounds of combat Pretty negligible especially at lower levels because of limited uses Of course would be higher with critical hits but not much if I remember he was doing a 1.2x multiplier on using features like this on critical hits
