Unused strip for August 2, 2017

It's hard to tell from the pencils, but it was a continuing of Stacy and Danny's conversation that we left with them in the lobby before Amber went upstairs. It gave some good information, but I thought the included finished strip was too good of an endpoint for that story thread, and the flow of the story felt off running with it past that point, instead of switching elsewhere. I figured I could deliver the information in a future strip, which I eventually did.
It's probably hard to see what exactly is going on in the unfinished strip, so in panel four, Danny is setting down his hat on the floor, and then in panel five he is playing his ukulele and a passing student is throwing change into his hat.
I prefer the way the information was delivered in the original strip, honestly, for a number of reasons, but I thought it was more important that the story thread end on that strip with Ruth and Amber, instead of meandering on like a zombie.
(OH HEY, I just noticed I can set posts to become public after a certain amount of time, and I thought I'd try it out with this particular post. I won't do that with, like, the bonus strips, but I thought it might be fun to do with this rejected strip post.)
