Rejected punchline for June 16, 2018
Added 2018-08-21 01:47:10 +0000 UTCI'd forgotten about this one until I went looking for another series of unused strips for this storyline. At this moment I'm not entirely sure I'm gonna show them off here -- a few put too fine a point on the Mike flashback storyline and I think I might rather leave a lot of it ambiguous. We'll see. Maybe try to be persuasive if you strongly disagree.
But here's another strip from this storyline, unrelated, which I ended up altering. (final above) I guess I thought the visual gag was too visual gag-y? Maggie liked it fine when I put it past her, but it didn't achieve the tone I wanted. Plus Amber should be a little more competent than that.
The final punchline ended up being more character-based (and reminded us of Amber's actual limitations after she just, y'know, superhacked something), so I am much more satisfied with it.
Butt hanging out of the wall looks pretty funny, though.
