I thought Amber's line in the final panel cannibalized the strip that follows too much. Ethan needs to come into his accusation clean. That's about all. I rewrote like a dozen other final panels to replace it, but didn't save any of them except the one that actually ran.
One bit I do remember is deciding at one point to keep Amber's "alarmingly cute" phrase with Ethan suggesting in return "alarmingly cute or acutely alarming????" which lasted, like, 2 seconds, but well
