BONUS STRIP MARCH 2015 THE FIRST

ASMA: THE BONUS STRIP  I still owe you folks a second bonus strip and a wallpaper, but my head is mostly snot and my throat is an old wooden staircase.  Someone in Seattle gave me the plague.  BUT SOON, I PROMISE.

BONUS STRIP MARCH 2015 THE FIRST

Comments

Transcript Panel one: Asma: Here's your package! Joyce: Thank you, ma'am! Panel two: Asma: PLEASE don't call me 'ma'am.' I'm a student, like you, I'm barely nineteen, and I live over in the Landes wing. I'm not a 'ma'am.' I just work at the center desk. Panel three: Joyce: Oh. Panel five: Asma: Has becoming a real person made this awkward? Joyce: You're supposed to be a desk lady!

BBCC

Ah, a welcome sight to come back to. Budgeting reasons had me cut out Patreon for the last few months, but I was pulling pretty hard for more Asma before I left.

Ryan Kertai

I think becoming a real person broke the fourth wall a little, Asma.

D.K.

It was probably JOEL that gave you the crud. How many times do we have to tell you: NO TONGUE!

Douglas Appelt

And then she took an arrow to the knee.

So who are we going to support en masse next month? Agatha? Rachel? Mike's dad?

The Mayor of Christmas

Well, it's Joyce's first encounter with someone who "looks Muslim" (there are other reasons for that headscarf, but none would occur to Joyce) and she managed to get through it without even referring to religion, let alone assuring Asma that she didn't hold Asma responsible for 9/11. Honestly, I'm calling this a win.

T Campbell

I'm pretty sure this is the interaction I had with Desk Ladies in my dorm too.

Hambone Fakenamington

Holy CHEESE it's better than I thought it would be.

Kerrin

I'm honestly speechless. It has occurred to me before that someone in her position would generally be a student, but the possibility that she might actually BE a student never crossed my mind. I thought she was, like, 30. ...This is embarrassing.

C.H.

It makes me so happy! Asma is not just a background character, she's real!

Brian Scott

The natural order has been upset now. A Desk Lady should not be considered a regular person. This will have larger, darker repercussions I am sure.

Lawrence Sica

Joyce thought she was just another scripted town NPC...little did she know the level 20 Wizard PC liked to get into roleplaying via a town shop. Her perceptions of this campaign will be forever changed...except when it comes to Mike. Mike's always an epic level Dick (ascended into godhood with that class).

This Asma strip is everything I wanted it to be <3
