Big in his Own Way Part 03

His little legs were no match for Greg’s thick long ones. However Greg walked past his room and headed towards Cody’s. Chase whimpered at the idea. Telling Zac was one thing but Cody was a completely different story.
“C’mon,” Greg goaded him. “Gotta rip that bandaid off sometime. Might as well make it today.”
“But…” Chase tried to protest but Greg had already entered the room. The strong smell of weed escaped the room. If his dad had any idea what that smell was, he would have been kicked out a long time ago. Even if he did help pay for some of the house, his dad did not want his sons doing any sort of drug. He had made that incredibly clear. But somehow Cody had kept it a secret. Even if the smell always seeped into the other rooms.
“C’mon big guy,” Greg called for Chase again. “What are you so afraid of?” There was that same blissful ignorance that Greg always seemed to have. But at the same time there was nothing for him to fear. The only thing Cody could do to him is try to make fun of him but Greg was so good with comebacks that it probably wouldn’t have even fazed him. He would just shrug it off.
Chase slowly entered the dark room. His brother had been such a hoarder when it came to collectables. He even had a few anime body pillows that had clearly been used several times. ‘Cause 2D women weren’t cheating whores.’ The window blinds were in a perpetual state of being closed. While he’d painted the room black to make it seem even darker. He loved the looking mysterious and disheveled but blamed the fact that he didn’t have many friends on them instead of himself. Despite the clear narcissistic personality he didn’t want to admit that he was the mean one. ‘They should change for him,’ instead of the other way around.
“He’s not here,” Chase sighed with a bit of relief. “Can we go now…?”
Greg had made himself comfortable on the bed. He laid his body across the black comforter and sprawled out showing off his massive body. His feet laid on top of Cody’s pillows. “Why’s that?” he still feigned ignorance why Chase might have wanted to leave.
“Because I don’t know when he’s coming back,” Chase stomped his foot. He was trying to be assertive but his face went red. All Greg had to do was smile and he could feel some of his worries disappear. But that didn’t mean he was ready to tell Cody yet.
“He’ll be back soon,” Greg said. He hefted his weight to sit up on the bed and pat the spot right next to him. “He’s at the gym right now. I bet he’s already changed and headed back here right now.”
“All the more reason to leave,” Chase crossed his arms. He was fighting the invitation to sit next to his boyfriend. It was just too obvious. And he had to set some kind of boundary. Even if he really wanted to jump on top of his Greg right then and there and start making out. The forbidden nature of his brother’s room seemed to be driving his sex drive right now. But his logic was trying to stay intact. If Cody found them he’d be in trouble.
“Why?” Now Greg laid back down across the bed. He couldn’t seem to get himself comfortable. But at the same time wanted to show off different muscle groups. “He’s not going to care.”
“How do you know?”
“I know.” There was that same smile. That same confident smile that Greg gave him whenever he knew something that Chase didn’t. “Does this look like a more comfortable seat?” he asked patting his hips. There was a bulge starting to appear in his shorts.
Chase’s face went a little red as he saw it. But he couldn’t deny the feeling he was having. However he still didn’t act on it. “We could always do that in my room,” he offered.
“Sure it’d be fun. But, how many chances do you get to have in your brother’s room?” Greg flicked his eyebrows up trying to invite Chase over. “Fine…” he gave into Chase’s defiance. “You want to know how I know?” Chase nodded. “Fine. When he got back from his service he approached me about… You know…”
“Wait. What?” Chase said. Suddenly his head felt a little weird about what he’d just heard. Some things weren’t adding up. He couldn’t quite place it though. He knew something was wrong about what Greg was telling him but didn’t know what it was.
“I know. I was shocked too. I didn’t think he was interested in guys either. But he said that when he was alone in the desert surrounded by other guys he didn’t have a lot of options. You know? So he and some of the other guys experimented and he kind of liked it.” Greg let out a sigh. “I wasn’t supposed to tell you but I figured… You know…”
Chase was having trouble gripping with the fact. All his memories seemed to be a little jumbled. He knew his brother always made fun of gay guys but for some reason it felt different. Instead of acting like they weren’t real men, he thought it was something about just taglines and bland insults. “But…”
“I know… It’s a lot to take in. I know he’s dating Alecia right now but he’s… Not really only interested in her. I didn’t do it but I did talk to him a little more. He said he when he was a wrestling in high school there were a few times he’d get hard. He chalked it up to just being a horny teenager but it happened pretty often. Especially when he lost. That’s why he worked out so hard. He didn’t want anyone to think any less of him,” Greg said.
Thoughts of Cody losing his wrestling matches started to fill his head. It was weird. He wasn’t really a sore loser but when he lost one of those matches he wouldn’t come out of his room for hours. Chase had always thought it was because he was so dedicated to the sport. Being varsity captain his sophomore year, he really took the sport seriously. But more memories started to fill in the gaps. His addiction to being the strongest guy around, his need to always look tough, his overly adverse reaction to anything that could make him seem even the slightest bit feminine. Every time Chase thought of a memory that would disprove the theory it only made it even stronger.
“Just don’t say anything alright…” Chase said. “It was kind of confidential. He doesn’t want you to know. I told him as long as he doesn’t get caught at the gym, I wouldn’t say anything. But you’re his brother… I figured that’s kind of a given.”
“He’s been talking to guys at the gym?!”
“More than talking…” Greg tried to hide his grin. “I’d almost caught him one time but they’d just finished and were cleaning up.”
“So he’s fucking guys at the gym?!” Chase was even more surprised. His mouth hung open as he thought about how many times he’d seen some of Cody’s friends around. Most of them didn’t seem like guys he’d normally hang out with.
“Most of the time…” Greg shrugged his shoulders.
“What do you mean most of the time?” Chase asked. He almost regretted it the second he saw Greg’s head tip forward, implying exactly what he thought. “Oh my God…”
Greg just grinned. “Don’t say anything, alright? It’s just apparently he really likes the little guys topping him. Something about being their little bitch or something. I know he seems like he’d be an exclusive top but he’s got a soft underside. He just doesn’t like showing it off. Just when he sees a little guy staring at him he just loves it when they approach him all shy like. Then he takes them to the back of the locker room and lets them have their way with him. There’s been a few noise complaints but again no one’s said anything about what’s complaining.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me…” Chase was still trying to wrap his mind around what his brother was. All signs pointed to what Greg was saying. He’d been acting different after he’d come back from his last tour. There were just too many pictures of him shirtless and sometimes pantsless next to other dudes. He’d wrap their strong bodies under his even bigger arms and hold them tightly. He’d even framed a few on the nightstand next to his bed.
Chase blinked a few times as he realized the soft baby blue paint on the walls and the blinds open. The soft colors and bright light outside seemed to have blinded him. He saw all the evidence of his wrestling uniform lining the walls and the trophies on shelves. But more importantly all of those items brought back memories of how his brother was in high school. Hyper-masculine and unwilling to look weak in front of anyone. The signed were there but Chase was just angry that he hadn’t noticed before. “But he’s still marrying… What’s her name… Alecia!”
“Well… Yeah… Alecia’s a good girl. And he likes her too but you know sometimes he’s got needs…” Greg said. “I hear she doesn’t really mind. As long as he stops once they're married.”
“Okay… Okay…” The pieces were all falling into place. Chase could feel like it all made sense. He just didn’t want to accept it. Then he felt two big arms wrap around his back and pull him in for a tight hug.
“Afternoon brother,” a deep voice growled behind him. “What are you doing in my room?”
“It was Greg’s idea!” Chase instantly threw his boyfriend under the bus. He could feel the hug growing tighter as he felt Cody’s arms tighten around his body.
Greg just laughed. “Really? First sign of confrontation and you fold instantly. But he’s not wrong…” Greg stood up and put his big hand in Cody’s, then pulled it in for a chest bump. “Just wanted to see how you were doing man.”
“Same old. Same old.” Cody shrugged off. “You know the usual.”
“Yeah…” Greg grinned. Chase could tell it was fake but didn’t say anything. “I guess you haven’t given up your gym time though. Chase always said that I was the only one bigger than you.”
“Well not everywhere,” Cody joked back. He flexed his arms, showing off. His 20 inch biceps were easily some of the biggest at the gym. He’d taken up lifting after he’d gotten back and didn’t give it up for a second. The regimen put him into a mindset like the military. Always something to do. Always someway to make himself better. Both bled into each other making him the perfect dutiful soldier. His short military haircut and shaved body just looked all the more defined. Like he was ready to stage at any second, or rush into a battlefield. Either way he’d be the biggest one out there.
“Doubtful,” Greg flexed back. “Unless you wanna have a competition right now,” he offered.
“Oh-ho? You’d like that wouldn’t you?” Cody joked. He gave Greg’s chest a slap with the back of his hand.
“Maybe,” Greg joked back. His fake grin turned real as he saw Cody’s temperament turn even more playful. “But your little brother has something to say. Don’t you Chase?”
Chase stared up at his big brother. He’d always looked up to the guy for being so strong. Stronger than he ever was. But he also didn’t know why he should be afraid either. “I’m gay. And dating Greg.”
“Yeah?” Cody said unimpressed. “You think I don’t know that? We workout together at least once a week…” Cody’s tune changed once he realized how Chase was taking it. “Look man. I’m sorry for what I did in high school but I don’t really care… Well care’s not the right word but like it doesn’t bother me. I just want you to be happy. Alright?" he paused bringing in a genuine smile. "I mean with a guy like Greg, maybe I’m a little jealous.” Then ruined it with a joke. He gave Greg another friendly slap with the back of his hand.
“Don’t think you could handle me bro,” Greg joked back.
“That a challenge?”
“Only if you’re willing.”
Chase watched as the two got right up on each other. He couldn’t help but be at least a little bit interested. Even if it was his brother… He just sat back on the bed, watching the two bodybuilders flex on one another.
