Only that attitude is very definitely changed as confirmed in this strip, and she's going to wonder why her spells aren't working as planned. And the fact that Joyce is willing to contemplate a purgatorial defriending gives Jacob space to act without thinking "what would Harrison approve of" or "must be nice to Joyce". He freely chooses to ask Joyce to sit next to him.
