No God, no rules!

Bagge

Or, you know, fanfic

Bagge

Joe is going to walk in on this argument, isn't he? That's where it feels like this is going to me: he finds out what Dorothy is up to, Asks Her to Leave, and then she slinks off, realizing that *Joe* has just protected Joyce from *her*.

David Jackson

It’s more Dorothy still trying to keep her feelings closeted and channeling them into helping a friend. You’re probably right, in that she’ll realize the errors of her ways, and pull back, but perhaps Joyce will realize she likes Dorothy.

Yeeeaahhhhh I dunno about this y’all. This ain’t the ship y’all want. This is intrusive, rude, and carries the wrong motivations (on multiple levels, this whole thing is less/not even about “helping Joyce find herself” and more 1. Proving roz wrong 2. Denying joe 3. having more of an impact on Joyce than Dorothy’s perception of Jennifer’s). Hoping Joyce sees through this. If not then woof.

BEST-CASE SCENARIO THAT IS INCREDIBLY FANFICTION AND WILL NOT HAPPEN: Joyce gets deathly calm, looks Dorothy in the eyes, and goes “Fine. F-Fine. Show me how YOU do it.” “Wh-what? No, I mean, I was going to use, the washing machines—“ “In public? Dorothy, what the heck? That’s crazy. No, if you’re going to teach me or whatever, show me how you do it. Right here. Right. Now.” (Slipshine OR Dorothy immediately flees the room in defeat)

Do we have a title for the next book yet?

This is going to go fantastically, I'm sure. /s

Dorothy: I've decided to pressure you into sexual exploration so you don't end up with someone like Joe. What a good friend /s

Dorothy should probably take up cartooning. Then she'd learn that what she's currently doing is basically a bad porn script.

I wonder what sort of epiphanies 20-year post-nut clarity would give Joyce?

Shane Wegner

So, two commenters on the previous strip over at the main site (already over 100 comments, BTW) have noted that there's a SCRUBS scene in which Elliot (whom, let us recall, Walky referenced in his conversation just now with Dorothy) uses a washing machine for the exact purpose Dorothy is now suggesting to Joyce. Prediction: This is going to turn out to be an extended hallucination by a spiraling Dorothy, climaxing (pun partially intended) with Joyce looking at Dorothy and asking, "Where do you think we are?"
