Reason I picked Ann is she's the one the story keeps securely harassing, and Joe being in a place where he wants to not be "the sex guy," I can see forming a relationship with Ann being appealing. Because she isn't having any of that shit, and so by accepting Joker that way, it's like the game is telling Joe that Joyce can accept him.
