And the former would at least offer closure, or he could talk about it with say therapists. Even with confidentiality, if it’s the latter he might feel like he can’t even talk about it with a therapist. Having a secret like that he can’t even tell his friends who are suffering guilt (like Amber, who he’s been through a ton of stuff with) would be heavy. And say it was that. Booster’s well meaning efforts, and feeling they’ve really got Ethan’s number and figured it all out must seem like comedy. “You’re sure you understand, but you really, really don’t.” We’ll see what Booster’s deduction level is over time I suppose.

But seriously, we've dropped in on their interaction at several points, establishing that they've been at it all day and far into the evening. Ethan is having much-needed interaction, and Booster has a much-needed Big Project—maybe they can stop regarding *everyone* as a Little Project (fingers crossed). The not-quite-deep-night coloring and lighting is wonderful. Am I imagining that Ethan is being drawn as less gaunt?
