So I'll just say I find it kinda cute that even in the midst of her depression, Dorothy's version of a "loser future" is one where she's a successful entrepreneur, just on a small scale. And okay, one more thing: she's clearly reeling a bit because she just blabbed the Yale thing to Ruth, after telling Becky to keep it secret. Ruth would certainly keep it secret too if asked, but Dorothy didn't tell her to.

This storyline is making me feel really really bad for both personal and wider context reasons and I don't want to bring anyone else down talking about it or bring myself down watching people enjoy it. It's possible that'll change but I really don't like where this storyline seems to be going. I'm only posting this here so that people aren't concerned if I stop commenting.

2023-03-19 04:39:05 +0000 UTCI also want to add that Dorothy's comments about those types of things disqualifying you from that office isn't wrong (esp. if you aren't a white cis male), although the stigma is /starting/ to fade. I know people who avoided telling their therapist things - and asked their doctor not to write down things - so they wouldn't be disqualified for sensitive positions, Is this fact ablest? Yes, and not on her part, they are a reality of governing bodies - she KNOWS that these things need treatment, and she's fighting against the reality of her dreams, and it's all about to go boom.
