Well, he still lacks in judgement if he scrolled right past the goddamned Ding-Dong bandit. Joyce would totally punch anyone for Dorothy, no questions asked.

Bagge

It's pronounced 'BYAAAAH!'

At this point Walky might be closer to the Presidency than Dorothy. Look at him leafing through his connections to find the people most likely to do a hit-job.

I read “mean dean” and all I can think is “YEAAAGH!”

Magic Chopstick Games

There are some Slipshines that could be labeled YSFW then!

Part of me is thinking ‘Poor, directionless Dorothy will have to pick a new reason to get out of bed each morning, like the rest of us not-president-becoming peasants.’ I tease, but this is a good time for the tree of her identity and self esteem to put down additional roots and diversify.

The thing is...maybe Dorothy is technically correct in her statements, if not her actions. Maybe it WAS a mistake to let Walky go...they weren't working real well when she did, but there were other things they could've tried. Maybe it WAS a mistake to let Walky in on how much Lucy cared for him, when she could've easily gotten back together with him then. But even if either or both of those things were wrongs, adding this one won't make a right. In those first two instances, she could've been a little more selfish and it would've been justifiable. Lucy would've been hurt in the second case, but it'd be a little bit on her for not voicing her own feelings for months. But this? This is straight-up boyfriend-stealing, and if "successful," it's only going to hurt everyone involved, including Dorothy. The silver lining is that this incredibly dumb plan might be leading into the honest talk with supportive friends that's what she REALLY needs, but it's a coin flip whether Walky can keep it in that kind of healthy space.

I was afraid of this. Walky really bought in to Dorothy's dream, and he is (at least for the duration of this one strip) unable to imagine her not attaining it without an opponent blocking her. I hope he calms down a bit and listens to what she has started to say in the third and fourth panels.

Inner Palpatine: hahahahaha, goooood, boy, use your negative feelings! let the self-loathing flow through you!

dumbing of age was the first place I saw the acronym NSFW and for the longest time I thought it stood for No Sex For Walky

Kat

We know what you'd LIKE her to say to Joyce (I admit I'd like that too), but what she's not ready to say to her right now is probably along the lines of, "I'm not the focused, super-together person you think I am - not anymore. And it's scaring the hell out of me."

Harold

Walky being Dorothy's number one cheerleader always makes me SO happy

BBCC

If you use "caucus blocking" as your campaign slogan, I'll vote for you I promise

Gloomlie

I hope Joyce (and Joe) are looking for Dorothy and show up to help her. Perhaps she’ll say something she’s not ready to say to Joyce.

Andrea Andrew

I need to use Caucus Blocking in real life but where the hell would I find a use for it? Sigh, guess I'll have to run for government, THANKS WILLIS!
