I agree on it seeming doomed, but on the other hand, every time I've thought "This, this is the ridiculous Walky thing that will finally disillusion Lucy" it's just been kind of brushed past. Either she's got *really* selective attention, she's trying extremely hard to ignore the imperfect bits, or she just plain is into his wackiness.

You’re sending mixed signals here!! …Right, your entire life is mixed signals. Never mind.)
