It's kinda sad that that's how Sarah sees things. I hope she gets better.

Lucy is correct but she is not in possession of all the facts. For example that Sarah has gone to great lengths to protect Joyce. The time she showed up at a party she hated to make sure Joyce wouldn't get into trouble and saved her from that date rapist springs to mind.

Two things can be true at once. Raidah can be a toxic person who unfairly vilifies Sarah and Sarah can have toxic traits that are fairly vilified. Nobody is one thing. What makes a person a “good person” is what they do when confronted with their shortcomings. I have faith that Sarah will acknowledge hers and commit to being better….eventually.

Raidah is definitely an awful, toxic person, but that doesn’t mean Lucy is wrong.

Yeah, but she hit the nail on the head there, didn't she, Sarah. At least a little. That's why you reacted the way you did, and why you pushed back like that.
That said, Lucy's seeing a pattern that isn't really there, thanks to Raidah. I'm just think I'm bothering to comment on this due to a recent conversation my sister and I had with her 12-year old son. The kid's legitimately funny, but sometimes it crosses the line into genuine meanness, and he just doesn't have the life and social experience to know where the line is, sometimes. Some people you can't kid around with, but I don't think Lucy knows enough about the two of them to really know otherwise. Going according to plan so far, Raidah.

Watch Sarah squirm around, while Lucy stands firm, speaking truth to sour.
