She can't help her family and they do not make her any less of a person. For that matter she seems to appreciate the support I give her in dealing with them. And yes, I believe she is worth the effort.

Sarah is a little bit right that this is a bad plan, but she had to realize the “just dump Walky, it’s easier” was never going to land. She’ll need to hone her arguments and persuasion to be an effective lawyer.

They're college freshmen so it probably won't ever get that serious, but once you start getting into that stage in life where you're genuinely looking to settle down with someone, or at least date then longterm? You're better off seeking someone without racist parents in the first place. Yeah, racist boyfriend parents are inconvenient, but racist inlaws just aren't worth it. It's okay for Walky to not be at a stage where he can directly confront his parents racism but it's also in Lucy's best interest to avoid people who can't do that. Look at Sal. Look at how much their parents messed up Sal. Walky can't even say the word racist yet he's dancing around it like he's trying not to get blacklisted on tiktok. Again, it's okay for Walky to not be ready to confront it, but Lucy should probably be asking herself how much of his parents rubbed off on him, or if any did at all, for her own sake.
