2023-07-24 00:37:37 +0000 UTCTo be fair, Crichton did realize that idea was stupid and got into it in The Lost World, where the characters specifically talk about how T. rex's definitely didn't have vision based on movement and if it didn't attack, it likely just wasn't hungry. But the Jurassic Park movie was one of the biggest cultural touchstones ever, and the correction didn't even end up in The Lost World movie, which deviated heavily from the book, so now "vision based on movement" is ingrained into our psyche.
