I just realized that the book is on Joyce's side of the door. I'm not even entirely sure how to interpret that. It seems like a statement on who's helpless. I guess Dorothy feels helpless to save her, but really in that case Joyce wouldn't actually be trapped? Maybe Dorothy's subconscious is giving her a tiny hint that she's feeling responsible to solve others' problems that they'd be able to solve better on their own?

Pretty cool Dorothy gets Shadowfax as the president.

Corzican

If you had one Joyce Or one opportunity Would you capture her Or just let her slip

There's an even deeper layer to this callback - if Ryan had gotten inside, he would have gone after Joyce too. So Amber saved both Dorothy AND Joyce that night.

Harold

In Dorothy's mind, he is.

Forgot to praise the art. Art be praised! The dynamism of all the tumbling Joyces in the final panel, each with their own exactly-this-size speech balloon, is very moving.

Oh Dotty <3

Well, I'd say that all the Joyce's represent all the people Dorothy needs/wants to help. A good metaphor for Dorothy's feelings of being stretched too thin.

The glass door. But it was Dorothy who was trapped inside, and Amber has locked her.

Amós Batista

So, was Joe the horse?

Andrea Andrew

This was accidentally made available to the wrong tiers.

Viktor

No, Dorothy. You can’t do this. Not alone. Get help, please.
