Yeah I’m kinda hoping they are healthy too. Like if Ethan can start pulling himself together and Asher breaks up with Jennifer in a mature way it could actually be a healthy relationship with the extra spice of their backstory. Call me naive too because I’d totally dig that

And a bit on the naive side inspite of it all lol. I can't help but wonder if he and Ethan might be good for each other - him and Jennifer def aren't. He's also not in the Radia evil plans.

2023-08-22 04:20:19 +0000 UTCAsher did, in fact, confess—second panel two strips back—but perhaps he regards the confession to have been annulled by Jennifer's failure to receive it as such, and by Lucy's intervention. Now the apparent resumption of the relationship by Jennifer rests on that still-dangling confession. Asher may not be sure whether he wanted to resume with Jennifer, or to be dumped to be free to consort with Ethan. Jennifer is all about social status: being cheated on impinges on that status. Lucy buys into hot romance, and knows that Jennifer does not, in fact, have the status she tries hard to protect.
