It's basically a sign you have no idea how to write emotionally intelligent or consistent characters. it's never interesting drama, it's just trite and boring.

Is there unresolved sexual tension? Yes. Has Amber gone up to him and begged him to take her back? Absolutely not, Dorothy did that.
