2023-10-18 04:15:43 +0000 UTCCarla does not easily understand that Booster will act in their sister's best interests, and that Booster's perceptions of those interests is not susceptible to lobbying by Carla. Booster isn't going to unlock Charlie for Carla. I suspect the key is that Carla will have to be one of Charlie's trusted, noticeable people, which can probably only be done by being kind, helping, and being easy for someone who finds people puzzling. Provide, don't demand, attention. Carla's self-image doesn't work that way, but that self-image won't get her what she now wants. Compare Dorothy, who has been deserted by long-time motivation, and is now rudderless.
