I don't know a single atheist Jew -- or even any reform or reconstructionist agnostic Jew (like me!) -- who would bring it up like that without a thick coating of self-aware irony. But, also, I'm coastal. Maybe inland they say it that way more because of... surrounding christians saying it that way about...?
