Booster’s exasperated expression is so funny. Like they can’t stand how smitten Carla is, it’s just frustrating to them how genuine her emotions for Charlie seem. And so they gotta do it, they gotta help a little.

I'm not even convinced she IS narcissistic because her attitude changes the moment she sees Booster and realises he heard her. Prior to that she seems perfectly comfortable saying Charlie is cool.

2024-02-18 06:36:21 +0000 UTCNarcissism is fascinating. Non-narcissists know it's entirely possible to say "Charlie is so cool." and then just put the period there and accept someone is cool. Like it doesn't cost anything to say that. I guess narcissists feel the need to put * "*but not as cool as me!" in there? As if affection was in desperately short supply in the universe? How does that work like... neurologically? I've read and seen enough about narcissism to know there's really something going on. I can see Trump is desperately, endlessly thirsty for praise. Like he pouts if someone else gets the spotlight even for a moment. Carla is learning she does like another person, even if the seed was Charlie daring to not notice her.
