These two are so transparent to each other and still think they can get away with being subtle

Gale Tazzin

I mean, old feelings die hard and sometimes what you thought was over comes back and it’s better and much more lasting, relationship-wise, especially when their breakup wasn’t based on personal incompatibility so much as it was tied into the very concepts she’s been rejecting, so I think her pining is super understandable However I think Walky is also giving her an I’m Not That Into You Anymore signal that can be seen from space and also got personal demons to work on that Dotty can’t help with right now, so I *also* get why you want her to leave it alone, she’s probably gonna get hurt.

Sajuuk-Khar

I’m sorry. Even beyond my preference for Dorothy/Joyce(/Joe), I really wish Dorothy (and the others like Becky) would leave her relationship with Walky in the past like he has. He’s given no indication he’s still in love with her, he’s dated Amber and Lucy since they ended, and she broke up with him for a reason. What can’t this former relationship stay dead to Dorothy?

Andrea Andrew

Well ID be way happier for starters.

Katrina Marie Paton

It’s a reminder that 50% of her DNA is her dad’s.

Shane Wegner

Again, JOYCE invited Dorothy to do rad college stuff. A underlying thesis: If you care enough about other people doing something to feel jealous about other people doing it, why not propose doing that thing yourself? Dorothy alluded to that thesis when she said there would probably be a next time and that Becky could be invited to it.

Shane Wegner

I wouldn't say "fine". I think she's conflicted, but I do agree that she's genuinely worried about Amber.

KingOfKarrotFlowers

"Am I making *you* unhappy, Becky?"

Giant Speck

Well, maybe you'd be invited if you weren't so f'n antagonistic all the time.

Uniquitous

Huffy Becky is a hillarious Becky

Bagge

@Jey Siksa: "AW HELL NOW I'M SUPER ATTRACTED TO DOTTY TOO"

Harold

Honestlyyy I think this is 99% Becky telling the truth, like she genuinely is mad she wasn’t invited. Sure, college shenanigans aren’t really that important, but Becky’s talked about wanting to do them before, for one, and it’s a milestone she wanted to experience alongside Joyce, for another. Not even in a romantic way! Just, like, as her super close friend! And here’s DOTTY fuckin it up with her EMOTIONAL TURMOIL and MAYBE BISEXUALITY and shit! She’s mostly falling back into her old rivalry pattern as an effective way of lashing out at a different, new thing that bothers her. Dorothy about Walky, though, is straight up Dotty telling on herself and I feel bad for her. Girl no. Girl do not go back to the caramel, I know he is tasty but no.

Sajuuk-Khar

I feel like this is Becky being bummed cause they werent the one to go to the bar (obv Becky doesnt have context of Joyces concern), but i was concerned with Beck's little lip bite behind Dina's back in the selfie viewing clip.

Jey Siksa

The reason I don't quite believe Becky here is that doing rad college things isn't really that important, and it was only Joyce's *surface* rationale for inviting Dorothy to drink with her. The reason I don't quite believe Dorothy here is that Dorothy was seen reacting somewhat jealously to Walky's being in Amber's room on Saturday, and we have seen no plausible repudiation of longing for Walky on her part. I want to trust what characters say, but I can't do that here, and for me that's a big part of the plot tension in this strip.

Dan Rabin

I genuinely think Dorothy is worried about Amber and wants her to have company. She’s fine with Walky going back to Amber.
