I think that’ll be a storyline moving forward of Joyce becoming more wild.

Andrea Andrew

That was getting drugged, not drunk...wasn't even alcohol in that roofied drink...but Joyce may believe that she did take an alcoholic beverage that night. On a related note, I'm sure Joe just LOVES being compared to Ryan in this scenario. It's sweet that she trusts him, but this communication gap between them is a ticking time bomb, and they're running out of ways to defuse it.

T Campbell

Keep in mind that Jacob of all people called at this as likely behavior for when Joyce "changed" (and Joe was right there to hear it). "new" Joyce is less annoying than old Joyce, but she seems to have lost a lot casting off her old self. She's just as certain as ever, but not nearly as basically decent and nice

He's been told explicitly that he's a horndog who will mess Joyce up, and Liz went from "enthusiastic" to "this is a mistake" very quickly. Given Joyce's upbringing, I think it's reasonable for him to be a little concerned that she's going to overshoot her comfort zone.

George Simpson

Kinda feels like Joe's the one who's gonna want to start slowing things down. I don't know what it is, but there's something ever so pained about his expression whenever Joyce brings up having actually factual sex.

Rachael

Is this a crack in the ship?

Machalt

Oof. Joe does not want to be the instrument of Joyce's later regrets. Starting to think he'll dip out rather than breach that barrier.

Uniquitous

Oh dear, Joyce is doing the thing where the once religious kid goes too far too fast isn't she?

Joe will explode before this is over, won't it?

Bagge

Damn her sunny disposition and apple pie smile

"That wasn't a keg." Now I'm wondering if I could nominate the keg that Dina didn't steal for a bonus strip. Four panels of a lonely keg at the beer store, all alone.

I also admit that underage drinking at 18-19 is much better than at 15-16.

Hm, I don't remember Joe's personal relationship with alcohol being brought up. How does *he* feel about getting underage drunk? (Though I still have problems thinking of these adult people as underage for drinking, being an European and all. They could enlist in the military, I think, but not drink? Strange.)
