But we haven't seen Walky yet. Maybe seeing Lucy Officially Move On unexpctedly broke his heart so bad Serah's schadenfreude shot up to "I am now pleasant and scaring people."

It's freeing, knowing that a prospective romantic interest definitely isn't interested. You stop worrying about what they think of you. That, or she got laid after the party, and we're about to find out through a flashback. Either way, she's likely a lot less stressed.
