He saw his father hurt his mom and send them both through a horrible divorce, so he decided he would ONLY fuck. Then he liked Joyce and didn't know how to handle it. Now they're together and he's scared he's going to be his father. The irony is that, since Joe thinks he only breaks things, Joyce needs walk him through losing his "hand holding virginity." (ie romantic one)

Joyce likes what she likes, and if she likes Joe she's not going to dump him after they have sex (as long as no fundie conditioning kicks in, but that is separate) just to find someone new or better, or because sex is the only thing between them. If she likes him, it is for more than just sex. I know Roz can be a sarcastic bitch, but I think she is being kind here.
