The only older women we've met as readers who would have any reason to visit Ethan are the trio's mothers - the trio being Ethan, Amber, and Mike. Since this visit is unannounced, it makes sense that Ethan is correct about it not being his mom. Stacey honestly seems more likely but frankly I would just prefer it be Mike's mom. I think it would be interesting
